Fixed Line to Mobile Solutions
It’s no secret that landline to mobile calls are more expensive than mobile to mobile calls, so O2 have two solutions to counteract this by routing your mobile phones call over the O2 network, therefore providing substantial savings for the customer.
Please contact our Account Management Team on 1850 400 300 to see which solution is best suited to your needs.
Mobile Line
The first solution is the Mobile Line was which cuts the cost of calls from fixed lines to all Irish Mobiles, by routing calls to mobile phones over the O2 network and bypassing your landline costs.
How?
Mobile Line is installed on your existing phone system. Some minor changes will need to be made to your PBX, enabling the PBX to route the mobile call over the mobile network.
Calls to mobiles are passed over the O2 network giving you mobile to mobile rates, reducing your landline bills.
What’s more, Mobile Line is the ideal solution in places where a fixed telephone line is not feasible. Now temporary locations such as exhibition stands or construction site offices can be connected instantly.
The savings
When making calls from landline to mobile, Mobile Line will route the call on the O2 network, so you can take advantage of Business Call Saver. Whatever price plan you’ve chosen with O2, Business Call Saver means your O2 company mobiles can talk to each other for as little as 10c per minute. On most price plans, you can also nominate 2 landlines for this great rate.

Corporate Private Network
The second solution is the Corporate Private Network (CPN). A high percentage of your businesses' telephone bill can often be calls made from the office to mobiles. And while it's smart for employees to be communicating, it's also smart to find ways to cut the costs.
CPN is for businesses with a large number of mobiles and office extensions. CPN actually unifies a company's fixed lines with its mobiles.
The Benefits:
- Call cost from office extensions to O2 mobiles and other Irish mobile networks are reduced significantly
- Mobile to in-house extension dialling – users simply dial the extension number from their mobile as they were dialling from a normal extension phone.
- O2 Mobile calls can be diverted to office extensions and therefore to a company’s internal voicemail system
- To control costs, customers can restrict the user of mobile s so that they can only dial numbers within the CPN but can receive calls from any phone
