O2 SIM Backup

Losing your phone is like losing everyone you know. Back up your sim with O2 SIM Backup and make sure you never lose your contacts again, even if you lose your phone.

How does O2 SIM Backup work and what do I need?

It couldn't be easier to backup your SIM contacts. Just go into the O2 menu on your phone, select O2 SIM backup and then start backing up your contacts. We'll then tuck them away safely into your account on o2.ie. Please ensure that the contacts that you wish to store are saved on your SIM card.

Before you begin, make sure you have a SIM card with O2 SIM Backup. The best way to find out is by looking in your O2 menu on your phone. If O2 SIM Backup is not there, you can get a free replacement SIM card from any O2 Store. Please note O2 SIM Backup is not currently supported on the Apple iPhone.

How much does O2 SIM Backup cost?

You can backup 250 numbers to your account on o2.ie. The first time you backup your numbers will cost €2.00 (incl. VAT). Then each time after that costs just €0.50c (incl. VAT).

If you're a Pay monthly customer this will appear as a 'premium message' on your bill. And for Speak easy customers this is simply taken from your call credit.
