Group Conferencing

If you're on the road or away from the office, there are times when you need more real-time communication with colleagues and customers than email or text provides.

O2 Group Conferencing lets you and up to 19 other people take part in conference calls no matter where you are. It's perfect for team catch-ups, and since everybody is in the loop at once it's a great way of getting issues straightened out once and for all.

O2 Conference Service is easy to set up - there is no charge for once off registration and everyone pays their own call charges. The service is available wherever or whenever you need it.

Get Started

To chair a conference, you will need to complete the registration form. Your Entry Code will be sent to the email address that you register with. You need this code to access the service. You will also receive two attachments, a user guide and an email template so you can easily chair your conference calls.

To take part in a conference call (but not as a chairperson), you do not need to register. You simply dial the O2 Group Conferencing number listed below.

How do I use this service?

  • Dial 086 384 4000 to begin or join a conference call.
  • If you are the chairperson you will be prompted for your entry code as received in your mail. If you are simply joining the conference call you will be prompted to use the mobile phone number of the chairperson. All callers will be placed on hold on the bridge until the registered user (or chairperson) enters their entry code. All attendees will be asked to record their name.
  • This recording will be repeated upon entering the conference.

Group Worker

You shouldn't mix business with pleasure, they say, so Group worker lets your employees with company mobiles have a personal mobile account. Group Worker is a unique and innovative cost control solution that will offer your savings on your monthly mobile phone bill. It allows employees the opportunity to easily separate their personal calls from their business calls while assuring them savings and privacy.

Controlling personal call spend on company mobile phones is a continual issue for companies and can take a lot of manual time and work to determine what part of the bill is private. In many cases, it takes too much time and resources to use these measures and companies simply bear the total costs. In addition to the cost control benefits, Group Worker also offers extension dialling between company mobiles and office extensions. Group Worker uses the intelligence of the O2 network to separate calls.

The service is free to set up and is managed by the company through an easy to use web interface. There are no set-up requirements or on-site hardware installation.

You pay for the business calls, while your employee pays for their own calls using a personal pre-paid account. There are a number of ways a personal account can be set up and used.

 

Personal Call Prefix

This is where you allow your employees to decide what calls are personal and what calls are business related. The digit 8 is placed in front of the dialled number for personal calls. The cost of this call is then deducted from the personal prepaid account.

 

Screening lists

This is where you create a list of a number of different lists of numbers which you deem to be personal. When a call is made at any time of the day and the number dialled matches a personal number on the screening list than the cost of this call is automatically billed to the personal account.

 

Time of Day

This is where you enter into Group Worker the working hours for employees for each day of the week. When they make calls outside of the working hours then the cost of these calls are automatically billed to the personal account.

Benefits

  • One number – Group Worker means that your employees don’t have to carry a private phone as one number can be used for both business and private calls.
  • Calls are really personal – all employee personal calls are private and won’t appear on the company bill. Information on these calls can only be disclosed by O2 to the employee
  • No monthly rental – there is no additional rental for employees to use this service. As with any other prepaid service, employees can top up their account and check their balance at any time.
  • Short dialling – also ensures that your employees need only remember the extension number when dialling back to the office or to another O2 mobile.
